“We’re seeking to raise the awareness amongst the general public to understand the need to get on with the business of settling outstanding land rights issues, and other outstanding issues that contribute to the growing and deepening poverty in First Nations and aboriginal communities,” he said. “We want to see the process of resolving land claims accelerated,” he said. “We want support to ensure that the social support services are in place and properly funded. And it hasn’t been to this time.”
